Decision Tarot Spread
Use the Decision spread for a clean either/or choice — two jobs, two cities, stay or leave, accept or decline. It compares the two paths side by side, then names the truth underneath both options.
✦Overview
Five cards in two columns plus a base. The left column shows path A (its likely shape and its hidden cost). The right column shows path B (its likely shape and its hidden cost). The bottom card is what is true regardless of which path you pick — the work the decision is actually about.
✦How it works
Name the two options out loud before you shuffle. Lay cards 1–2 in a vertical column on the left for Path A, cards 3–4 in a column on the right for Path B, and card 5 horizontally beneath both columns.
✦Position-by-Position
Tap a numbered card to explore each position.
What does path A actually become?
The realistic outcome, not the fantasy version.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the decision spread for three options?
Add a third column of two cards if you need to — the structure scales. Keep the bottom 'truth underneath' card singular; that's what holds the spread together.
What if both paths look bad?
Either the question is wrong (the real choice is not the one you're asking about), or the bottom card is naming a piece of work that has to happen before any path opens. Slow down on position 5.
How is this different from a yes-or-no reading?
Yes-or-no readings collapse the texture into a verdict. The Decision spread keeps the texture — you see what each path actually costs, which is what most real decisions are about.
